Is there pimping allowed for individual art pieces or do you just want pimping for the artist?

While pimping, you can just pimp the artist and/or, of course, link back to their piece of art. There's no real restrictions as how to pimp when it's "just" pimping. So, pimp away whatever you come across :)

AU category is confusing me, would a werewolf fic be considered AU? Or only if it's a werewolf fic set in a different time and place.

Also I know it's a bit late, but I though best new author might be a good category, if there are the restrictions on the best author category this year, y'know for people who haven't written so much.

The latter. If the werewolf fic is set in the usual setting (they are still a band etc.), then it's only a slight AU. We ask for stories in entirely a different setting, which would be the latter of the things you suggested :)

We have been thinking about a category along the lines of "Best Newcomer" as well, seeing as there are many new faces in the fandom so this is a very good point. It was dismissed during the discussion about which categories we'd like to have up. Alas, most newcomer also have already written more than one piece (and most even more than 5), so they'd be pretty much a go either way. What I would suggest, is that people could nominate a newcomer of their choice and like the category for 'Best Beta', they'd all be instant winners unless you think having them up for voting as well would be nicer? Seeing as the nominations haven't started yet, we still have a little bit of room to make changes. :)

And I think I see why you've put restrictions on best author, but for me it means that a few of the people I want to nominate I can't, either because they haven't written five fics or the chaptered fic they're writing isn't finished.

I'd like to think it's more about being fair, if it was about being nice surely everyone would get a banner for being nominated or pimped or whatever?

It's kind of tricky concerning authors that haven't written 5 fics or finished a chaptered series. The latter would be out of choice anyway since the stories have to be finished when nominated :)

Surely, it's possible to have a category for Best Newcomer up to regard those that only got started in this fandom this year and haven't written/posted the required number of fics. Then we'd have those two but that would beg the question what about those authors that either haven't written 5 pieces or are newcomers? Then we'd have to separate the author category into three different ones alone to be fair to everyone.

We will discuss this again.

you can nominate your beta. All that is not possible is your stories being nominated in any category, if you indeed only have Jared/OC pairings. Alas, those stories are still part of this fandom, therefore you can nominate your beta.

That is not a stupid question at all ^^

Yes, when you filled out the nomination form, you go to the nomination post on 30myths_awards and just copy/paste it into the comment box and leave it as comments :) Depending on the length of your nomination form, you may have to leave 2 comments (see the Edit on the nomination entry).

If anything's the matter or something should not be working, please also feel free to simply email it to us (copy/paste form into the email body, no attachment please). The email address is found on this journal's userinfo.
